Telstra Storytelling Playbook
The storytelling illustration style was developed so that Telstra could better represent the diversity of their staff and customers. It was designed to simplify complex ideas, make technical information feel more human, and add some personality to the way that they were communicating. My role was to take concept sketches and create a comprehensive set of guidelines and artwork that could be distributed to Telstra’s partner agencies for use in future campaigns. This involved working with Telstra’s internal brand team to ensure this new element would work with their existing brand, as well as with their languages other than English department to ensure our character kit captured the diversity of Telstra, and that the way we depicting cultures, races and religions was fair.
